1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Codeaamy Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India, having its registered office in Pune, Maharashtra, India ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), governing your use of the DroidMac macOS application ("App").

By downloading, installing, or using DroidMac, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Definitions

App — DroidMac, the macOS application developed by Codeaamy Private Limited.
User — Any individual who downloads, installs, or uses the App.
Android Device — Any smartphone or tablet running the Android operating system.
Host Mac — The Apple macOS computer on which the App is installed.
MTP — Media Transfer Protocol, used for USB-based file transfer.
Local Network — The private Wi-Fi or wired network to which both the Host Mac and Android Device are connected, with no routing through external servers.
File Operations — Browsing, copying, moving, deleting, renaming, and creating folders on an Android Device's storage through the App.
Third-Party Libraries — Open-source components including libmtp and libusb.

3. License Grant

3.1 Limited License

Subject to these Terms, Codeaamy Private Limited grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use DroidMac on macOS computers you personally own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes.

DroidMac is offered in two tiers — a free tier subject to a daily transfer allowance, and DroidMac Pro, a paid one-time upgrade that removes that allowance. The tiers, and what you receive for a purchase, are described in Section 4 (Pricing and DroidMac Pro).

3.2 Restrictions

You may not:

Sublicense, sell, transfer, or distribute the App.
Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile any proprietary portion of the App.
Use the App for commercial purposes without prior written authorization.
Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices.

4. Pricing and DroidMac Pro

4.1 Free tier

DroidMac is free to download and use, subject to a daily transfer allowance of 1 GB (1,073,741,824 bytes). The allowance:

Counts bytes transferred in both directions, over both USB (MTP) and Wi-Fi.
Resets automatically at midnight in your Mac's local time zone.
Is measured and stored only on your Mac. No usage information is transmitted to the Company as part of enforcing it.

A transfer that would exceed the remaining allowance is declined before it starts, rather than being interrupted part-way. No files are altered or deleted when a transfer is declined.

4.2 DroidMac Pro

DroidMac Pro is a one-time purchase of USD 99 that removes the daily allowance. It is a perpetual licence for the current major version — not a subscription. There is no recurring charge, and nothing to cancel.

A Pro licence entitles the named licensee to use DroidMac Pro on any Mac they personally own or control. It does not grant redistribution rights; see Section 3.2.

4.3 Licence keys

On purchase you receive a licence key by email. The key is a cryptographically signed token that the App verifies on your Mac. Verification is performed entirely offline — activating or using DroidMac Pro does not require an internet connection and does not contact the Company's servers.

You are responsible for keeping your licence key private. Because verification is offline, a key that you publish or share can be used by others, and the Company cannot revoke an issued key remotely. Sharing your key is a breach of Section 3.2.

4.4 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. The Company does not receive, handle, or store your card number, CVC, or other payment credentials. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy. The Company receives only the information needed to issue and support your licence — principally the email address you provide at checkout.

4.5 Refunds

If DroidMac Pro does not work for you, contact support@codeaamy.com within 14 days of purchase and the Company will refund the purchase in full. You do not need to give a reason. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. On refund, your licence is no longer valid for continued use of Pro features.

4.6 Changes to pricing and tiers

The Company may change the price of DroidMac Pro, or the size of the free allowance, for future purchases and future versions. Such changes do not retroactively affect a licence you have already purchased.

4.7 The Android Companion app

The DroidMac Companion app for Android is free, contains no paid features, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases, and is not subject to any transfer allowance. The pricing described in this Section applies only to the DroidMac application for macOS.

5. Permitted Use

You may use DroidMac to:

Transfer files between your Android Device and your Mac via USB (MTP) or Wi-Fi.
Browse, manage, rename, delete, and organise files on your connected Android Device.
Create and manage folder structures on your Android Device.
Configure the App settings to your preferences.

6. Prohibited Use

You must not:

Transfer illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
Attempt to bypass security or access restrictions of any device.
Access unauthorised devices or storage without permission.
Interfere with the App's proper operation or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities.
Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

7. User Data and Privacy

DroidMac is built on a privacy-first architecture:

All file transfers occur locally between your Mac and Android Device.
No file content is transmitted to Codeaamy's servers or any third-party service.
Wi-Fi pairing tokens are stored locally on your own device and used only on your Local Network.
The App incorporates no advertising, behavioural tracking, or usage analytics.
The App includes an optional diagnostics and crash-reporting feature, which you may switch off at any time in Settings. It never transmits file contents or personal identification data. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what it sends.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

DroidMac and all associated intellectual property are the exclusive property of Codeaamy Private Limited, protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.

8.2 Third-Party Trademarks

Android is a trademark of Google LLC. DroidMac is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.
macOS is a trademark of Apple Inc. DroidMac is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.

9. macOS System Permissions

DroidMac may request:

Local Network Access — For Bonjour device discovery and Wi-Fi file transfer on your Local Network.
Bluetooth Access — Reserved for future use. Not active in the current version.
File System Access — To read/write files you explicitly select for transfer.

You may revoke permissions via macOS System Settings. Revoking a permission may disable the corresponding feature.

10. Third-Party Software

DroidMac incorporates the following open-source libraries:

10.1 libmtp

Purpose: USB MTP protocol implementation.
License: GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1+ (LGPL-2.1+).

10.2 libusb

Purpose: Low-level USB device access on macOS.
License: GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 (LGPL-2.1).

Both libraries operate entirely on your local device and do not transmit data externally.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DROIDMAC IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, compatibility, or data integrity.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Exclusion of Consequential Damages

CODEAAMY PRIVATE LIMITED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including loss of data, loss of profits, or any other intangible loss, arising from your use of the App.

12.2 Cap on Liability

The Company's total liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months, or (b) INR 1,000.

12.3 Data Loss

THE COMPANY IS NOT LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS ARISING FROM FILE OPERATIONS PERFORMED THROUGH THE APP, including deletion, overwriting, or failed transfer of files, regardless of cause.

13. Data Loss Warning

WARNING: File operations including deletion, moving, and overwriting are typically irreversible.

You are strongly advised to:

Back up your Android Device before performing file operations.
Back up your Host Mac before receiving large file transfers.
Verify file integrity after transfers of critical data.
Ensure transfers are complete before disconnecting your device.

14. Updates and Modifications

The Company may update the App at any time without specific notice.
The Company may modify these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
The Company may discontinue the App or any feature without liability.

15. Termination

Your license terminates immediately upon breach of these Terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall the App and destroy all copies. Sections 4, 8, 11, 12, and 16 survive termination.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Before formal proceedings, please contact legal@codeaamy.com to attempt informal resolution.

17. Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the DroidMac Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding DroidMac.
