Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and Codeaamy Private Limited (“Codeaamy”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, or using DroidMac, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use DroidMac.

2. Definitions

  • App: DroidMac macOS application
  • User: Any person who downloads, installs, or uses the App
  • Android Device: Any Android-powered mobile device
  • Host Mac: The macOS computer running DroidMac
  • MTP: Media Transfer Protocol
  • Local Network: Your private Wi-Fi or LAN
  • File Operations: Transfer, browse, rename, delete, create folder, move
  • Third-Party Libraries: libmtp, libusb

3. License Grant

3.1 License

Codeaamy grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DroidMac for personal, non-commercial purposes on macOS devices you own or control.

3.2 Restrictions

  • You may not sublicense, sell, resell, or distribute the App
  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • You may not use the App for commercial purposes without written authorization
  • You may not remove copyright or proprietary notices

4. Permitted Use

You may use DroidMac to: transfer files via USB or Wi-Fi; browse, manage, rename, delete, and organise files on your Android device; create folders; and configure application settings.

5. Prohibited Use

  • Transferring illegal or harmful content
  • Bypassing device security mechanisms
  • Accessing devices without authorisation
  • Exploiting vulnerabilities in the App or connected devices
  • Violating any applicable laws or regulations

6. User Data and Privacy

All file transfers are local only. No file content is transmitted to Codeaamy servers. Wi-Fi pairing tokens are stored in macOS Keychain only. No analytics or telemetry data is collected. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1

DroidMac and all associated intellectual property are owned by Codeaamy Private Limited.

7.2

Android™ is a trademark of Google LLC. macOS® is a trademark of Apple Inc. DroidMac is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or Apple Inc.

8. macOS Permissions

DroidMac requests Local Network permission (for Bonjour discovery and Wi-Fi transfers), Bluetooth permission (reserved for future use; inactive in v1.0), and File System access (for user-selected files only). Revoking permissions may disable corresponding features.

9. Third-Party Software

DroidMac incorporates libmtp (LGPL-2.1+) and libusb (LGPL-2.1). Both libraries operate locally only and do not transmit external data. Source code for these libraries is available upon request pursuant to their respective licenses.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

DROIDMAC IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1

Codeaamy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11.2

Total liability is capped at the amount paid by you in the preceding 12 months or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.

11.3

Codeaamy is not liable for data loss resulting from file operations including deletion, overwriting, or failed transfers.

12. Data Loss Warning

File deletions and overwrites performed via DroidMac are irreversible. You are strongly advised to back up your devices before performing bulk file operations. Verify file integrity after critical transfers.

13. Updates

Codeaamy may update DroidMac or these Terms without prior notice. Continued use of the App following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Termination

Your license to use DroidMac terminates automatically upon breach of these Terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall DroidMac. Sections 7, 10, 11, and 15 survive termination.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Indian Contract Act 1872. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Contact legal@codeaamy.com before commencing formal proceedings.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Codeaamy with respect to DroidMac and supersede all prior agreements.
